Suppliess needed to make a No Sew Bandana Headband:
Can you believe you can make this No-Sew Bandana Headband with just one bandana? Almost every single piece of fabric gets used up but you have to start by folding it inward like in the picture below. Apply glue to the headband and attach to the center of the folded bandana.
Trim off excess fabric right up to the very edge of the headband. Set those pieces of fabric aside, we’ll be using them later. Apply glue to the center of the headband and fold one side loosely in. Make sure the fabric isn’t too tight. You want it to resemble the look of a bandana tied around your head.
Continue gluing one side all the way down and then repeat the gluing process on the other side of the headband. Pinch the edges and use more glue to secure.
Grab one of the end pieces you cut earlier and fold it over until the raw edges are hidden. Use a line of the fabric glue to secure. Cut into two 4″ sections.
Apply a bit of fabric hot glue and wrap the strip around the raw edges at the end of the headband. Repeat with the other side.
You now have a wide bandana headband. Let’s add the cute little knot at the top! Grab some of the bandana fabric scraps (NOT the large triangular piece left over from cutting the end off earlier) and bunch into a little ball. Apply hot glue to the center of the headband and press the bandana ball until secure.
Fold the triangular scrap so that raw edges are inward and then wrap the end around the scrap ball to create a knot shape. Pull edges of triangular scrap under. Trim, fold, and glue in place.
Can you believe how easy it is to make this super cute no sew bandana headband? Why buy one in a trendy store when you can make it for a fraction of the cost and customize it exactly to your liking!
I absolutely love wearing this no sew bandana headband when I’ve got my hair up in a messy bun. Hope you enjoy making one for yourself as well!
